A prescription injection designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines that form between the eyebrows. Aging and repeated facial movements, like squinting or frowning are major reasons why these lines form. The injection is intended for patients under the age of 65. The injection temporarily disables muscles by blocking nerve signals, this reduces the muscle activity that causes these lines. One important thing to remember is that the procedure is temporary, so repeated treatment may be required.
As determined by a physician, the injection is administered into muscles at five different points along the forehead. It then blocks the nerve signal to contract the muscles, diminishing these signs of aging.
Patients who have had Dysport noticed results as soon as 2 to 3 days after the injections were administered. As mentioned before the results of this procedure are temporary, generally results last up to 4 months.
